WHAT IS A FOOD SENSITIVITY TEST?

A food sensitivity test is a comprehensive diagnostic assessment that measures your immune system's IgG antibody response to hundreds of different foods. Unlike a food allergy — which triggers an immediate reaction — food sensitivities produce delayed responses that can manifest hours or even days after eating, making them notoriously difficult to identify without testing. At Dr. Jinah Yoo Clinic, we use advanced laboratory analysis to test up to 200+ foods, giving you a precise, personalised map of your dietary sensitivities so we can build an elimination and reintroduction plan tailored entirely to your body.

BENEFITS OF FOOD SENSITIVITY TESTING

  • Resolves Chronic Digestive Issues: Food sensitivity testing identifies the specific foods contributing to bloating, IBS, constipation, diarrhoea, and abdominal discomfort — providing a clear, evidence-based path to gut healing.

  • Clears Skin Conditions:Many cases of acne, eczema, rosacea, and psoriasis are directly linked to food sensitivities. Eliminating trigger foods can lead to dramatic improvements in skin clarity and texture.

  • Restores Energy & Reduces Fatigue: Chronic inflammation caused by undetected food sensitivities is a leading driver of persistent fatigue. Removing trigger foods allows the body to redirect energy toward repair and vitality.

  • Reduces Inflammation: Food sensitivities create a state of low-grade systemic inflammation linked to joint pain, headaches, and accelerated ageing. Testing enables targeted dietary changes to reduce this burden.

  • Supports Weight Management: Inflammatory responses to sensitive foods can impair metabolism and promote water retention. Identifying and eliminating these foods often supports more effective and sustainable weight loss.

  • Improves Mental Clarity & Mood: The gut-brain axis means food sensitivities can directly impact cognitive function, anxiety, and low mood. Many patients report significant improvements in mental clarity following dietary adjustments.

FOOD SENSITIVITY TESTING & LONGEVITY

Chronic low-grade inflammation — often silently driven by unidentified food sensitivities — is one of the most significant contributors to accelerated biological ageing. At Dr. Jinah Yoo Clinic, food sensitivity testing forms a key pillar of our regenerative longevity programme. When your gut is chronically inflamed, nutrient absorption is compromised, cellular repair is impaired, and the immune system is perpetually overloaded. By identifying and eliminating your specific dietary triggers, we reduce this inflammatory burden, restore gut integrity, and create the internal environment your body needs to thrive — supporting healthier skin, stronger immunity, enhanced cognitive function, and a longer, more vibrant life.

WHY CHOOSE FOOD SENSITIVITY TESTING AT DR. JINAH YOO CLINIC?

  • Testing 200+ Foods: Our comprehensive panels test a wide range of foods across all major categories — grains, dairy, proteins, fruits, vegetables, nuts, and more — ensuring the most complete picture of your sensitivities.
  • PMedically Interpreted Results: Your results are reviewed directly by Dr. Jinah Yoo and her clinical team, who contextualise your findings within your overall health profile — not simply handed over as a list to decipher alone.
  • Personalised Elimination & Reintroduction Plan: We don’t just identify sensitivities — we guide you through a structured, supervised dietary plan to eliminate triggers, heal the gut, and safely reintroduce foods to build long-term tolerance.
  • Integrated with Gut & Regenerative Health: Food sensitivity results are combined with your wider treatment programme — including gut health protocols, IV nutrition, and regenerative therapies — for a truly holistic approach to healing.

I had a great experience here at Dr Jinah Yoo! I had the ‘brightening’ treatment after having too much sunburn on my summer vacation and it really helped. The process was very enjoyable thanks to the skillful and gentle practitioner. I will come back in the future if I have any needs for skin improvements!

Absolutely love the place. Had some moles removed from my face by Dr Yoo. A week later there is not the slightest indication that there was ever even anything there. Results are incredible.

FOOD SENSITIVITY TEST FAQ'S

A food sensitivity test is a laboratory-based blood test that measures your immune system's IgG antibody response to a wide range of foods. Unlike an allergy test, it identifies delayed reactions that can occur hours or days after eating, helping to uncover hidden dietary triggers behind chronic symptoms such as bloating, fatigue, skin issues, and brain fog.

The test is carried out using a simple blood draw at Dr. Jinah Yoo Clinic. Your sample is sent to an accredited laboratory where it is analysed against 200+ foods. Once results are received, Dr. Jinah Yoo's clinical team will review your findings in detail and guide you through your personalised dietary plan during a follow-up consultation.

A food allergy triggers an immediate IgE immune response — symptoms appear within minutes and can be severe or life-threatening. A food sensitivity involves a delayed IgG immune response, with symptoms typically appearing 2–72 hours after eating the trigger food. Sensitivities are rarely dangerous but cause chronic, low-grade inflammation that significantly impacts quality of life and long-term health.

Our comprehensive food sensitivity panel tests over 200 foods across all major food groups — including grains, dairy, eggs, meats, fish, fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, legumes, herbs, and spices — giving you the most thorough and actionable picture of your dietary sensitivities.

You may benefit from food sensitivity testing if you experience any of the following on a regular basis: bloating or digestive discomfort, IBS symptoms, persistent fatigue, skin conditions such as acne or eczema, recurring headaches or migraines, joint pain, brain fog, low mood, or unexplained weight gain. If your symptoms have no clear diagnosis, food sensitivities are often an overlooked root cause.
