Dermal fillers are injectable treatments that restore lost volume, smooth wrinkles, and enhance facial contours.

What are Dermal Fillers?

They are typically made of hyaluronic acid, a natural substance found in the body that helps to hydrate and plump the skin.

Dermal fillers are a popular choice for those looking for a non-surgical option to achieve a more youthful appearance, improve facial features, or address specific concerns like deep lines and sagging skin.

What Areas Can Be Treated?

Lips: Dermal lip fillers enhance the natural volume and definition of the lips. Lip enhancement is a popular choice for those seeking fuller lips or wanting to define the lip border.

Cheeks: Cheek fillers restore lost volume, helping to lift sagging skin and improve facial contours. Cheek augmentation can restore a more youthful appearance.

Nasolabial Folds: Soften the nose to mouth lines, also known as smile lines, for a smoother, more refreshed look.

Marionette Lines: Reduce the appearance of marionette lines that run from the corners of the mouth down to the chin, preventing the face from looking saggy or aged.

Tear Troughs: Treat dark circles and hollowing under the eyes with tear trough fillers, restoring volume and giving you a more rested, youthful appearance.

Chin: Chin fillers can improve the chin’s shape and projection, creating a more balanced facial profile.

Jawline: Define and contour the jawline to achieve a more structured and youthful facial appearance.

Nose Bridge: Non-surgical rhinoplasty, also known as nose filler, allows you to reshape the nose without surgery. It is ideal for those looking to straighten the nose or improve the appearance of minor humps.

Forehead: Smooth out frown lines on the forehead for a rejuvenated and relaxed look.

Benefits & Indications

Dermal fillers offer numerous benefits for facial rejuvenation and enhancement:

Lift sagging skin: Dermal fillers add volume to areas like the cheeks and jawline, helping to lift sagging skin and create a firmer, more youthful appearance.

Improve facial contours: Filler treatments can enhance the jawline or add definition to the chin, offering subtle, natural-looking contour improvements.

Stimulate collagen production: Hyaluronic acid fillers stimulate the body’s natural collagen production, leading to improved skin elasticity over time.

Non-surgical alternative: Dermal filler injections are a safe, minimally invasive alternative to surgery, offering subtle, natural enhancements without the risks of surgical procedures.

Restore natural volume: Injectable fillers help restore volume lost with age, giving the face a fuller, more youthful appearance.

Quick results, minimal discomfort: With little downtime and mild discomfort, dermal fillers offer a convenient option for those looking to reduce facial lines and wrinkles.

How Long Does It Take?

The dermal filler procedure typically takes only about 10 minutes, making it a quick and convenient option for those looking to enhance their facial features.

How Long Do Dermal Fillers Last?

The results of a dermal filler treatment can last anywhere up to 18 months, depending on the treatment area and the type of hyaluronic acid filler used. Over time, the body naturally absorbs the filler, but the collagen-stimulating effects help maintain a more youthful appearance long after the initial procedure.

Recovery Period

You can return to your daily activities immediately following the treatment. While dermal fillers are minimally invasive, patients might experience mild discomfort at the injection sites. Any mild bruising or swelling will subside quickly.

I had a great experience here at Dr Jinah Yoo! I had the ‘brightening’ treatment after having too much sunburn on my summer vacation and it really helped. The process was very enjoyable thanks to the skillful and gentle practitioner. I will come back in the future if I have any needs for skin improvements!

Absolutely love the place. Had some moles removed from my face by Dr Yoo. A week later there is not the slightest indication that there was ever even anything there. Results are incredible.

Dermal Filler FAQ’s

Dermal fillers work by injecting a gel-like substance, typically hyaluronic acid, beneath the skin to restore volume, smooth wrinkles, and enhance facial contours. Dermal filler procedures are simple - the filler integrates with the skin, lifting and plumping areas that have lost volume due to ageing, resulting in a refreshed and youthful appearance.

The treatment is generally well-tolerated, with most patients reporting mild discomfort during the procedure. We use a topical anaesthetic to minimise any pain. The very fine needles used for the injections ensure the process is as comfortable as possible.

No, when administered by experienced practitioners, dermal fillers enhance your facial features without interfering with natural expressions. They subtly add volume and reduce fine lines to give you a more youthful appearance.

Tear trough fillers are specifically used to treat dark circles and hollowness under the eyes. This procedure restores volume, smoothens the under-eye area, and reduces signs of tiredness.

Marionette lines are the lines that run from the corners of the mouth down to the chin. They can make the face appear saggy or aged, but dermal filler treatments can effectively smooth these lines, creating a more youthful appearance.

Yes, fillers can be used to soften the nasolabial folds or nose to mouth lines, reducing their appearance and giving the face a smoother, fresher look.

Yes, dermal fillers can be combined with anti-wrinkle injections. While dermal fillers restore volume and smooth deeper lines, anti-wrinkle injections target dynamic wrinkles caused by facial movements. Together, they provide a more comprehensive facial rejuvenation, enhancing overall results.
