Acne & Rosacea
Breakouts are a cycle: bacteria, oil and inflammation feeding each other. Our medication-free laser programme breaks the cycle at all three points.

Sound familiar?
Which of these are you seeing?
Recurring breakouts point to a cycle: bacteria, oil and inflammation feeding each other. Topicals alone rarely break it; they only treat the surface of one part.
Active acneFlushing, persistent redness and sensitivity are vascular: a different condition needing different devices. Acne treatments often make it worse.
Likely rosaceaCongestion starts at the gland. Regulating sebum production directly, not just stripping oil from the surface, is what changes congestion-prone skin.
Congestion-prone skinPost-inflammatory marks are pigment left by healing, deeper and longer-lasting in darker skin tones. They're treated as part of the programme, not an afterthought.
Post-acne marksWhy the label matters
Same face. Different condition.
Inflammatory and cyclical: bacteria, sebum and skin-cell turnover driving each other. Flares with hormones and stress.
A 3-step laser process targeting bacteria, oil production and cell renewal, without medication or downtime.
Vascular: flushing, persistent redness and visible vessels, triggered by heat, sun, alcohol and stress.
Vascular lasers calm the vessels themselves, alongside barrier repair and trigger mapping to keep skin settled.
Red or brown marks where spots healed, sitting deeper and fading slower in darker skin tones.
Pigment depth mapped and energy matched to the layer, the same precision as our pigmentation programme.
“Acne is not a hygiene problem, and it is not a phase. It is an inflammatory condition: treat the cause at every point of the cycle and the skin can finally clear.”
The 3-step process
Break the cycle at every point.
Acne persists because each part of the cycle restarts the others. The DJY Acne Laser Programme treats all three in sequence: the bacteria causing inflammation, the glands producing excess oil, and the sluggish cell turnover that clogs pores. Consistently clearer skin, without prescriptions.
Left untreated, sluggish renewal clogs pores and feeds the bacteria again: the cycle restarts. Each session interrupts all three stages.
How we treat
Four programmes, one diagnosis.
No single route suits every case. The clinic combines prescription care, laser, skincare and diagnostics. Your plan draws on whichever combination your skin needs.

Medical Treatment
Led by a consultant dermatologist trained in the UK, USA and Korea. Where prescription care is the right route, it is available in-house: antibiotics, specialist medication, topical treatments and bespoke prescription-strength compounded creams.
Acne Laser Programme
A medication-free route for active acne and rosacea. The 3-step laser process eliminates acne-causing bacteria, regulates sebum at the gland and improves texture, and can combine devices and skinboosters so active spots and the red or brown marks they leave are treated in the same course.
Devices & skinboosters usedAcne Skincare Programme
Comprehensive skin improvement: sebum regulated, collagen stimulated for tissue regeneration, and the root causes of acne addressed. Every treatment is tailored to the severity of your symptoms and your skin type.
Diagnostic Testing
Research increasingly links the skin with the gut, hormones and immune system in acne. For resistant cases, the clinic runs advanced testing with a reputable US laboratory to investigate what is driving your skin.

Your journey, visit by visit
What actually happens.

Consultation & skin analysis
Forty-five minutes with Dr Yoo. Your skin is examined and imaged, your acne or rosacea graded, and triggers reviewed: hormones, skincare, lifestyle. You leave with a written programme and realistic outcomes agreed, or, if treatment isn't right for you, that answer instead.
You commit to nothing at this stageThe 3-step laser sessions
Sessions of around thirty minutes working through the cycle: bacteria targeted, sebum regulated, cell turnover renewed. A warm, prickling sensation most patients find easily tolerable. Skin may be flushed for an hour; makeup can go on the same day.
You can return to work immediatelyProgress review against baseline
Your skin is re-imaged and compared side by side with your first visit: active lesions, redness and congestion measured, not guessed. Dosing is adjusted to how your skin is responding.
You see the imaging yourselfKeeping skin clear, and clearing the marks
Once breakouts settle, sessions taper to maintenance on your schedule. Any pigmentation left behind by old spots is treated as part of the plan, not a separate battle.
Honest expectations
What to expect, and what not to.
A warm, snapping sensation over each area. No anaesthetic needed. Around thirty minutes door to door.
Mild flushing for up to an hour. No peeling, no marks, no downtime. Sun protection is non-negotiable throughout.
Fewer new breakouts from weeks two to four. Redness settles gradually over the course; texture and marks improve last. That's normal and expected.
An overnight cure. Acne and rosacea are managed conditions: we clear them, then keep them clear. Anyone promising otherwise is selling.

Questions
Asked before booking.
Yes, the 3-step laser process targets bacteria, sebum and cell turnover directly, without antibiotics or isotretinoin. If your acne is severe enough that medication should be on the table, Dr Yoo will tell you so at diagnosis. That's the point of consultant-led care.
Rosacea follows its own protocol: vascular lasers that calm the vessels causing flushing and redness, with barrier repair alongside. The consultation determines which condition you have; many patients have both.
Yes. Treating acne safely across all skin tones is a core specialism: device choice, energy and preparation are adjusted to your skin type, with particular care to avoid post-inflammatory marks.
Post-acne pigmentation is treated as part of the programme, with the same depth-mapping precision as our dedicated pigmentation courses. Scarring and enlarged pores have their own devices within the fleet.
Acne is a tendency, not a one-off event, which is why maintenance is part of the programme from day one. Once clear, sessions taper to a rhythm agreed together.
