How Excel V+ works
Two wavelengths, surface protected.
Excel V+ uses two precisely calibrated laser wavelengths (532nm KTP and 1064nm Nd:YAG) that can be used independently or in combination, depending on the concern being treated. Each wavelength is selectively absorbed by specific chromophores in the skin: the 532nm targets superficial blood vessels and melanin near the surface, while the deeper-penetrating 1064nm reaches larger vessels and darker or deeper pigmentation.
An integrated real-time cooling system protects the skin surface throughout treatment, ensuring comfort and reducing the risk of epidermal damage. Excel V+ is an advanced dual-wavelength laser platform using 532nm KTP and 1064nm Nd:YAG technology. It is clinically proven to treat a wide range of vascular conditions (including rosacea, facial redness, spider veins, and broken capillaries) as well as pigmented lesions and uneven skin tone.
Excel V+ targets the dilated, overactive blood vessels beneath the skin surface that cause the persistent redness and visible capillaries characteristic of rosacea. The laser energy heats and collapses these vessels, which are then naturally reabsorbed by the body, reducing redness progressively over a course of treatments.
The 1064nm Nd:YAG wavelength is well suited to all skin types including darker tones, as it is less readily absorbed by surface melanin. Treatment parameters are carefully adjusted by our clinical team for each individual's skin type to ensure both safety and optimal results.
The number of sessions depends on the condition being treated and its severity. Most vascular concerns require 2–4 sessions. Pigmented lesions and rosacea may respond in 1–3 sessions. Dr Yoo's team will advise on a personalised plan during your consultation.
Downtime is minimal. Most patients experience mild redness and slight swelling that resolves within a few hours to 24 hours. Treated pigmented lesions may darken briefly before naturally flaking off. Most patients return to normal activities the same day.
Vascular lesions often show visible improvement within 2–3 weeks as the body reabsorbs treated vessels. Pigmented lesions typically fade over 2–4 weeks following treatment. Results continue to improve with subsequent sessions as the skin clears progressively.
