Sciton BBL
Known as the world’s most powerful IPL device, BBL harnesses high-energy rapid output (HERO) technology to rejuvenate skin by stimulating the body’s natural healing process.
This innovative treatment is ideal for tackling visible signs of ageing, sun damage, superficial pigmentation, and vascular lesions. Sciton BBL offers a tailored approach to achieving youthful, healthy skin because of its ability to treat various skin types and concerns. It delivers results with minimal downtime, whether it is freckles, age spots, or skin laxity.

Sciton BBL (Broad Band Light) is an advanced form of Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) therapy, which addresses multiple skin concerns with precision and efficacy.
How Sciton BBL Works
Sciton BBL uses advanced BroadBand Light technology to deliver precise light energy into the skin. It targets specific skin concerns with unparalleled effectiveness. This light therapy works by penetrating the skin layers, heating the treated area to stimulate collagen production and encourage the body’s natural healing process.
Key mechanisms include:

Light Energy Delivery
The BBL device emits controlled light energy, which is absorbed by pigmented cells and vascular lesions, breaking them down while sparing surrounding tissue.

Customisable Wavelengths
Sciton BBL offers tailored treatment modalities for various skin types and conditions, including redness, brown spots, and skin texture concerns.

HERO Technology
High-Energy Rapid Output enables faster, more even treatments across larger areas, ensuring visible results with fewer treatments.
The combination of advanced technology and intelligent control ensures patients experience minimal discomfort, with most patients easily tolerating the treatment. A mild warm sensation may be felt during the procedure, and anaesthetic numbing cream is rarely needed.
Treatments with Sciton BBL
Sciton BBL offers a range of treatment options designed to address multiple skin concerns and enhance overall skin health. Each treatment is customised to the patient’s skin type and condition, providing visible results with minimal downtime.
Forever Young BBL
This revolutionary treatment uses BroadBand Light to target the signs of ageing, such as fine lines, sagging skin, and uneven skin tone. Forever Young BBL not only treats existing concerns but also works to delay the visible effects of skin ageing by stimulating collagen production for continued improvement.
BBL HERO (High Energy Rapid Output)
Ideal for treating large areas such as the lower legs, back, and arms, BBL HERO provides quick and effective treatment for sun damage, brown spots, and redness. Its advanced technology ensures even coverage and instant results, making it perfect for patients seeking fewer treatments without compromising on quality.
Pigmented Lesions and Superficial Pigmentation
Sciton BBL precisely targets pigmented cells caused by sun exposure or ageing, breaking them down to reveal clearer, more radiant skin. This treatment is especially effective for age spots, freckles, and sun spots.
Vascular Lesions and Redness
By targeting dilated blood vessels and broken capillaries, BBL treatments reduce redness and improve the appearance of vascular lesions, including rosacea and thread veins.
Acne and Active Acne
Using light energy to target bacteria and reduce inflammation, Sciton BBL provides an effective treatment for active acne. It also improves skin texture and reduces acne scarring, promoting healthier skin over time.
Unwanted Hair Removal

Sciton BBL FAQ’s
How does Sciton BBL differ from traditional laser treatments?
Sciton BBL is an advanced form of Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) therapy, also know as BBL laser. Unlike traditional laser treatments, Sciton BBL uses multiple wavelengths of light to treat a variety of skin concerns, including pigmentation, redness, and ageing skin, in a single session. Its precision and ability to customise treatments for different skin types make it more versatile and effective than traditional lasers.
How does Sciton BBL improve ageing skin?
Sciton BBL treatment stimulates collagen production and accelerates the body’s natural healing process, which improves skin texture, reduces fine lines, and enhances firmness. The result is smoother, more youthful-looking skin, with continued improvement over time after regular sessions.
Is Sciton BBL safe for all skin types?
Yes, Sciton BBL is safe and effective for most skin types. Its intelligent control and advanced
technology allows practitioners to customise settings based on the patient’s unique skin type and concerns. During your consultation, your practitioner will assess your skin and recommend the most suitable treatment plan.
How many treatments are needed to see results?
Most patients see visible improvements after the first treatment. However, for optimal results, a series of 3–5 sessions spaced 3–4 weeks apart is often recommended. The exact number of treatments will depend on the skin concern being addressed, such as pigmentation, redness, or ageing skin.
What is the downtime after a Sciton BBL laser treatment?
Sciton BBL is a non-invasive procedure with minimal downtime. Most patients experience mild redness or a slight warmth in the treated area, which usually fades away within a few hours. You can resume normal activities immediately, although it’s essential to wear physical barrier sunscreen to protect your skin from sun exposure.
Are Sciton BBL treatments painful?
Most patients find Sciton BBL treatments comfortable. You may feel a mild warm sensation or a light snapping feeling during the procedure. An anaesthetic numbing cream is rarely needed, but it can be applied for added comfort if requested.
What post-treatment care is required?
After your Sciton BBL treatment, avoid direct sun exposure and apply a high-SPF physical barrier sunscreen daily to protect your skin. Moisturise regularly, and follow any additional instructions provided by your practitioner to maximise results and ensure healthy, glowing skin.
